Rob Hefferan’s Portraits of Elegance Romance & Dance

rob paintings Rob Hefferans Portraits of Elegance Romance & Dance

Born in 1968 in Warrington, Cheshire, Rob Hafferan is an exceptionally talented figurative artist. His work not only captures the unique character and warmth of each subject, but transcends form to suggest the living, breathing essence of the individual. Working predominately with oils and acrylics, Rob’s work is both eminently understandable and intensely familiar. Colour, light and texture harmonize intelligently and with stunning candor to produce works that resonate with vibrant life.

Rob’s figurative pieces are beautifully balanced. Each of his works bears witness to his unerring ability to create an atmospheric backdrop, brushstroke by brushstroke. Art lovers will immediately respond to the luminosity and poignant intricacy of each portrait, where the presence of the subject provokes a deep reaction. The pinnacle of figurative realism is to elicit the animating force that resides behind the density and delicacy of human form and structure. Working with the living architecture of the human body, Rob recreates the poetry of the skins tone and structure and pays homage to the complex interaction of musculature, tissue and bone.

Amazing Pieces of Fractal Art For Your Inspiration

fractal world Amazing Pieces of Fractal Art For Your Inspiration

A fractal is a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is  a reduced-size copy of the whole, a property called self-similarity. Roots of mathematically rigorous treatment of fractals can be traced back to functions studied by Karl Weierstrass, Georg Cantor and Felix Hausdorff in studying functions that were continuous but not differentiable, however the term fractal was coined by Benoît Mandelbrot in 1975 and was derived from the Latin fractus meaning “broken” or “fractured.” A mathematical fractal is based on an equation that undergoes iteration, a form of feedback based on recursion

Joshua Hoffine’s Shocking & Awful Horror Photography

joshuahoffine photo Joshua Hoffines Shocking & Awful Horror Photography

According to Joshua - I am interested in the psychology of fear. We are born with certain inherent and instinctual fears, such as fear of the dark, fear of lurking danger and the fear of being eaten. As we grow older, these fears lose their intensity ans slowly shuffled away into our unconscious. Horror as an art form, draws its strength from the  unconscious.

Horror photography is able to present these abstract forgotten fears in literal terms. I stage my photo shoots like small movies, with sets, costumes, elaborate props for machine and special effects make-up. Everything is acted out live in front of the camera. I use friends and family members, including my own daughter as actors and crew.

We have arranged a list of Joshua Hoffine’s shocking and awful horror photography.

With some of the rarest original posters reaching thousands of pounds, the world of James Bond posters forever continues to astound, aspire and entertain. Amazing Ballpoint Pen Drawings & Sketches

ballpoint art Amazing Ballpoint Pen Drawings & Sketches

Ballpoint pens can be an excellent medium for serious fine art or illustration. An obvious advantage is precision and control. With pens you can achieve very tight renderings. However that’s not all they can do. Ballpoint pens can also be used to express any mood, thought, theme or subject matter. Rendering does not need to be precise to accomplish good works with this medium.

In recent years, the ballpoint pen has become a popular medium for professional artists as well as amateurs. The instrument offers immediacy of results with little or no preparation required, along with portability and relative low price. Point size and ink characteristics such as lightfastness and opacity are considerations in choosing a make and model of pen.
